Entrepreneurs ... Your Dry Season Is Over. Enough Is Enough!

Sep 24, 2020

Almost Every Day I Take Calls From Entrepreneurs Who Are Really Really Stuck.

Most are in what I call a dry season.

A dry-bones season of financial lack. And I really feel for them because as a serial entrepreneur for 36 plus years, I've been there myself. Many many times.

It's a season where you don't know what to do, where everything you have tried simply doesn't work. It's a place where one can really begin to lose hope, especially when your hard work and dreams appear to be slipping away.

Is This You?

Nothing to be embarrassed about. It's just a part of the entrepreneurial mountain-climb.

Let me guess, lack of enough business revenue and/or personal income to achieve your goals, dreams, or worse, to pay your bills.

Perhaps you are:

  • A seasoned entrepreneur with flat or declining revenue.
  • A new entrepreneur struggling to produce revenue.
  • Or a future entrepreneur, struggling to create a business model, brand, and launch-plan to successfully generate revenue and profitability.

Allow me to go out on a limb and declare something over your life and business.

I Declare Your Dry-Bones Season to Be Over. Right Now!

That is — if you are open to God's help. And for that, you must be willing to change your present thinking about a lot of things, both business and spiritual.

So how can I declare this over you? On what authority?  Well, I'm just declaring God's Word over your life. It's up to you to receive it.

I feel this in my spirit so strong, this Word is for you, FOR RIGHT NOW!

So what do you need, right now, to get out of this dry-bones season and into a season of abundance?

  1. Know-How (business and spiritual knowledge)
  2. Money (financial resources)

How do you get knowledge and money? BY FAITH!

BUT ...

Not the hoping-kind-of-faith. I'm talking about the receiving-kind-of-faith.

Let me explain. Biblical faith takes. It receives whatever you ask for (according to God's will, the Bible) at the exact moment you pray a Biblical promise.

In my opinion, the best definition of faith is found in Hebrews 11:1-2. Read it from the Amplified translation.

Hebrews 11:1-2 AMP - Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]. For by this [kind of] faith the men of old gained [divine] approval.

Some takeaways:

  • When you have faith, you have the title deed. That means ownership. It's now yours.
  • It is divinely guaranteed, or guaranteed by God.

When I use my faith for something, spiritual or material, it's mine. I have ownership (the title deed) for whatever I am believing for.

However, I may not have possession (manifestation) of the thing I have prayed for.

SO ...

I have to trust God for His how and when. There is usually a faith battle here.

I've gone to God for many things over my 36 plus years as an entrepreneur.

  • Peace
  • Ideas
  • Wisdom, understanding, and knowledge
  • My Family
  • Money
  • Marketing strategies
  • Addictions
  • Customer acquisition systems
  • Favor
  • Sickness
  • Customers
  • Oh, and did I mention money, lots of it!
  • Abundance
  • Ministry

This is what I do.

  1. It starts with a need or desire.
  2. First thing, I check to see what the Bible says. I look for Biblical promises.
  3. I spend time meditating (thinking, praying, envisioning) these promises.
  4. I ask myself, do I really believe what the Word of God says?
  5. When I am ready, I make the prayer request. Note: I prepare my prayers in writing like a lawyer presenting case law to a judge.
  6. The moment I pray the prayer, I receive full ownership of whatever it is I have prayed for. It's mine by faith. I consider it done.
  7. I am fully committed to confidently trust God for His how and when. Take a look at this promise and the conditions of it.

Mark 11:22-24 AMP - Jesus replied, “Have faith in God [constantly]. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!’ and does not doubt in his heart [in God’s unlimited power], but believes that what he says is going to take place, it will be done for him [in accordance with God’s will]. For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer [in accordance with God’s will], believe [with confident trust] that you have received them, and they will be given to you.

  8. Here's where the fight-of-faith begins. More often than naught, God doesn't give you what you want when you want it. Then satan goes to work on you to get you into doubt. BTW ... doubt is just having faith in what satan says over what God says.

James 1:6-8 NIV - But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

(Read Mark 4, the parable of the sower, it's the same message)

  9. Don't confuse your feelings with your faith. Lead with what you believe (your faith), your feelings will eventually get in line.

  10. If you stay in faith, God will always make good on His promises.

2 Corinthians 1:20 - For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.

So, if you need the know-how to partner with God in the marketplace, market and sell online, get clients, accelerate revenue and profitability, with or without investors or venture capital. Exercise your faith and ask God for the know-how to do this.

If you need financial resources, $2,000, $5,000 or $50,000, ask God. Trust Him for His how and when.

Some years ago, I had a client stiff me for a $750,000 media buy I made on their behalf. The bill was due, I had used my credit line to make the buy. I was responsible for paying the bill.

For an entire week, I had a HUGE pity party. I was a mess. Then God spoke to me. He said, "what are you doing?" So I began complaining about my situation. Then He said, "why haven't you brought this to me? You know what to do."

So I begin gathering the Biblical promises. I covered my office with the scriptures. My staff thought I was nuts, but I didn't care. I have never had this big of an ASK. After about a week of meditating on these scriptures, I decided to just believe. To have faith. And more importantly, to receive this by faith. To trust God's how and when.

Here Are A Few Of The Biblical Promises.

Philippians 4:19 AMP - And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 9:8 AMP - And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity.

John 14:13-14 AMP - And I will do whatever you ask in My name [as My representative], this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified and celebrated in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name [as My representative], I will do it.

John 15:7 AMP - If you remain in Me and My words remain in you [that is, if we are vitally united and My message lives in your heart], ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you.

John 15:16 AMP - You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed and placed and purposefully planted you, so that you would go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit will remain and be lasting, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name [as My representative] He may give to you.

John 16:23 AMP - In that day you will not [need to] ask Me about anything. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name [as My representative], He will give you.

I could go on and on. There are so many Biblical promises like this.

Just a few weeks after I went to God with my HUGE ask, I got a call from a client offering me a huge contract. I'll never forget the day I got off the jet with a HUGE check and contract in my hands.

The bill was paid.

The Big Takeaway

If you want to partner with God in the marketplace, market and sell online, get clients, accelerate revenue and profitability, with or without investors or venture capital, you'll need to develop a receiving-kind-of-faith.
