What You Want Me To Do

Feb 08, 2022

Colossians 1:9-10 TLB - So ever since we first heard about you we have kept on praying and asking God to help you understand what he wants you to do; asking him to make you wise about spiritual things; and asking that the way you live will always please the Lord and honor him, so that you will always be doing good, kind things for others, while all the time you are learning to know God better and better.

Lord, knowing what you want me to do is my greatest request and highest priority. Especially during life’s pit stops and detours.

No matter what you are going through, asking God to give you a complete understanding of what He wants you to do with your life, right now, is what will produce wisdom in your life and make you wise.

If you want to live in such a way to honor and please God, to continually do good and to be kind to others, know what He wants you to do.

You and I are going to go through many peaks and valleys in our lives. No matter where we are in our journey, it’s important to know God has us there for a reason.

My question to God is knowing exactly what He wants me to do in the exact place I find myself in — right now.

If you will commit whatever you do to God, He promises to establish your plans and your steps. (Proverbs 16:3 and 9)

When God chose Ananias to approach Saul (the apostle Paul) and restore his sight, He told Paul that God wanted him to know God had chosen him, and that God wanted him to know His will.

Paul thought he was following God when he was persecuting Christians. What a detour God led Him through.

Knowing what God wants you to do will bring you great purpose, and even make sense of situations that make no sense.

Knowing God’s plans and purpose for your life in one thing, but taking time to find out what God wants you to do during every pit stop, or detour is the key to totally trusting God, and then leveraging every circumstance to a Kingdom advantage.

When you find yourself going through some unexpected circumstances, remember, it’s part of God's plan that you are there. Before you start begging Him to deliver you, ask Him what He wants you to do while you are there.

Is there someone He wants you to meet? Is there someone He wants you to deliver? Find out what He wants you to do.

This, my friends, will make every step of your journey, an adventure with your creator.

You want to start living a more exciting life? Start asking God “Lord, I must know what you want me to do? Show me and I’ll do it.”

You’ll find these details will be the keys that open doors into your future.
