Time to Fast?

Apr 04, 2022

Matthew 6:17-18 TPT - When you fast, don’t let it be obvious, but instead, wash your face  and groom yourself and realize that your Father in the secret place is the one who is watching all that you do in secret and will continue to reward you.

Do you need a breakthrough in your life?

Start a fast. Guess who else fasted when faced with trouble?

Throughout history, believers have fasted. Especially when faced with great adversity.

- They fasted in the Old Testament
- They fasted in the New Testament
- Jesus felt He needed to fast
- The founding fathers of America fasted

Did you know ...

America was founded on the teachings of the Bible.

Our colonies were founded and populated largely by people who desired to freely worship the God of the Bible.

Our schools were started so that every young person would be able to read, study, and understand the Bible for themselves.

Our universities were founded to train civil and religious leaders who would be knowledgeable in the Scriptures.

Our civil laws and constitutions were routinely based on specific Biblical verses and ideas.

Our founding fathers declared a national fast many times when faced with persecution from tyrants (the British) who threatened their pursuit of freedom, peace and prosperity.

Community prayer and fasting was declared when:

- Personal peace and prosperity were threatened
- National peace and prosperity were threatened

The secular globalist elites are today's tyrants. They have created an anti-God culture which has created havoc across the globe. They are threatening our personal and national freedoms.

What can you do? You probably already pray, add the power of fasting.

>> If you need a personal breakthrough in your finances, health, relationships, purpose or faith walk.

>> If you feel like our nation needs to return to God.

Start to explore appropriating the power of fasting in your lives. We all get to a point where we are so hungry for God to do something in our personal lives, and in our nations, we are willing to forgo food (fast) for a period of time.

I know many entrepreneurs who fast every Monday. It's a discipline they've learned. And God promises to reward their commitment.

Fasting not easy, if it was everyone would do it.

But when you get sick and tired of being sick and tired — you're ready to begin exploring fasting.
