The Founder, The Battle, and the Order That Unlocks Destiny

Nov 23, 2025

This Week at Startup Church: The Founder, The Battle, and the Order That Unlocks Destiny

Founders are starting to wake up.

Not to another “hack,” another GTM trick, or another Silicon Valley superstition.
But to something far more foundational:

The order of your life determines the trajectory of your startup.

And this week at Startup Church, we went straight to the root system of the faith-driven founder — the part that fuels everything you build, everything you steward, everything God has assigned to your hands.

Here are the three themes we unpacked:

1. Build for YOU First — Not the Startup Religion

For years the startup world preached a false gospel:

Sacrifice your health.
Neglect your family.
Push your soul to the edge.
Worship the grind.

And even after all that, 90% of founders still fail.

Why? Because the model is broken at the foundation.

The biblical model is simple and immovable:

God first.
Family second.
Customers and team third.
Investors dead last.

Most founders get that backwards — and they wonder why their life and company feel constantly upside down.

You were never designed to build a startup at the expense of your soul or your household.
You build from strength, not from exhaustion.

This is why we tell founders:
Build the lifestyle you want.
Then build the business model that supports that lifestyle.

Not selfish.
Not unspiritual.
Just wisdom.

Because a passed-out founder can’t save anybody.

And when you get this order right?
Your startup stops draining your life — and starts fueling it.

2. You Weren’t Saved to Be “Nice” — You Were Drafted to Wage War

This one hits deep.

Jesus did not come to make you nicer.
He came to destroy the works of the devil.

And when you were born again, you were drafted into that same mission.

But here’s the part most founders miss:

Before God gives you influence out there…
He teaches you to win battles in here.

Your spirit was made new instantly.
But your soul and flesh didn’t get the memo.

You still carry old habits, old lies, old defaults — like a “deep state” inside you resisting the new King.

So God trains you in four battlegrounds:

Renew the mind.
Crucify the flesh.
Break agreement with darkness.
Walk in the Spirit.

This is not Christian entrepreneurship.
This is Kingdom warfare.

And when your inner world comes under the Lordship of Christ, God begins to trust you with real territory:

Families.
Founders.
Businesses.
Cities.
Nations.

This is your assignment as a faith-driven founder.

3. Born Again… but Only One-Third Finished

The modern church rarely teaches this, but founders desperately need to understand it:

At salvation, only your spirit was made new.
Your soul and flesh were not.

Your soul (mind, will, emotions) still runs old operating systems.
Your flesh still craves old behaviors.

That tension you feel?
That war inside you?

It’s real.
It’s biblical.
And it’s the reason so many founders feel “saved but stuck.”

But here’s the hope:

Your mind can be renewed.
Your brain can be rewired.
Your desires can be transformed.
Your flesh can be crucified.
Your life can shift into authority and victory.

Romans 12.
Galatians 5.
Colossians 3.
Those aren’t metaphors — they’re the actual mechanics of transformation.

You’re not fighting for victory.
You’re fighting from victory.

And the founder who conquers his inner world becomes unstoppable in his outer world.

Why This Matters for Founders Right Now

We’re living in a moment where God is raising up builders.
Kingdom entrepreneurs.
Men and women who steward companies the way apostles stewarded churches.

But none of that happens without order.
Without warfare.
Without inner transformation.

This is the real journey of the faith-driven founder:

Build your life around God’s order.
Win the battles in the unseen.
Let your spirit lead your soul and flesh.
Then build the startup God assigned to your hands.

This week’s Startup Church message goes deep into all three of these.
I encourage you to watch the video. Let it hit your spirit. Let it recalibrate you.

Your calling is bigger than a startup.
It’s Kingdom.
And God is preparing you to steward it well.

If you build on the right foundation — your life, your family, your venture, and your impact will multiply.

Until next time,
Keep building with God.
