Stop doubting your God-planted dreams!

Mar 07, 2021

Look, most believers agree with the Bible, they just don't believe it. AND FYI ... satan is a believer, just not a follower.

Why? The Doubt.

They end up believing, having faith in, satan's BIG LIES.

But, before we tackle doubt, let's define faith so we can get a good idea of what believers are actually doubting.

Get Faith Right, First.

 Faith is:

  • Believing God's Word, the Bible.
  • Then receiving God's promises to us from His Word.
  • The Word prophesies your future through the power of faith.

Here is the biblical definition of faith.

Hebrews 11:1 AMP - Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].

Mark 11:24 NIV - Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

  • Faith is the title deed. If you have the title deed, you own it, it's yours.
  • What you hope for is guaranteed by God.
  • Faith is a FACT
  • When you pray, believe that you have received it.
  • Then trust God for His how and when, the manifestation of what you prayed for.

When you have faith in what God's Word promises, it's yours. You have the title deed. The price has already been paid for by Jesus.

In a previous article, The Full-Stack Entrepreneur — Partnered and Powered by God, I listed many biblical promises about God's plan and purpose for your life. As you become intimate with your Creator, you'll become pregnant with a God-planted dream. It's a seed He plants inside you. God will provide you with the wisdom, understanding, and knowledge to grow this dream into its rightful destiny.

Trust me, it's a process. A preparation. A journey.

I love hanging out with pregnant entrepreneurs, helping them identify and fulfill God's plan and purpose for their lives. If you are looking for a roadmap, read my book HisPlan MyPlan.

On To Your Dreams!

God chooses very ordinary people like you and me and then He does something extraordinary with our lives. Partnering with God to turn your water into wine is my mission at CanaGlobal.

1 Corinthians 1:27-31 MSG - Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don’t see many of “the brightest and the best” among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families. Isn’t it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these “nobodies” to expose the hollow pretensions of the “somebodies”? That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God. Everything that we have—right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start—comes from God by way of Jesus Christ. That’s why we have the saying, “If you’re going to blow a horn, blow a trumpet for God.”

Take a look a the following biblical promise, it will give you permission to dream BIG.

Ephesians 3:20 AMP - Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us.

So ... in keeping this biblical promise in mind, what would you attempt to accomplish if you knew you couldn't fail and could trust God to equip and provide for you throughout the journey?

Write It Down, And Believe.

This my friend is how God-planted dreams begin. By faith, you commit to partner AND be powered by God. As God gives you impossible-seeming ideas, dreams, and goals, you write them down

Habakkuk 2:2-3 MSG - And then God answered: “Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what’s coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait! And it doesn’t lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It’s on its way. It will come right on time.

Then you trust God by having faith in His promises.

Matthew 6:33 MSG - “If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.

Romans 5:2 MSG - By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us—set us right with him, make us fit for him—we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus. And that’s not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand—out in the wide open spaces of God’s grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise.

Hebrews 6:13-20 MSG - When God made his promise to Abraham, he backed it all the way, putting his own reputation on the line. He said, “I promise that I’ll bless you with everything I have—bless and bless and bless!” Abraham stuck it out and got everything that had been promised to him. When people make promises, they guarantee them by appeal to some authority above them so that if there is any question that they’ll make good on the promise, the authority will back them up. When God wanted to guarantee his promises, he gave his word, a rock-solid guarantee—God can’t break his word. And because his word cannot change, the promise is likewise unchangeable.

Your Faith Leads To Your Success.

This is the roadmap.

Faith leads-to Expectation: When you choose to believe God AND His Word (the Bible), you will develop an expectation that He will make good on His biblical promises to you.

Expectation leads-to Peace: When you have expectation, you will receive the peace of Jesus. No fear. (John 14:27 & 1 John 4:18)

Peace leads-to Desire: When you have perfect-peace, you'll have the desire to go after the desires of your heart. These are your God-planted dreams and goals.

Desire leads-to Perseverance: When you have desire, you'll develop the perseverance to never quit. God will NEVER quit you, He will never quit His plans for you. His calling over your life is irrevocable. His plans are to prosper you. (James 1:2-2 & Hebrews 6:11-12)

Perseverance leads-to Success: When you allow God to develop perseverance in your life, you'll experience the success and prosperity God has planned for you all along.

Faith > Expectation > Peace > Desire > Perseverance > Success

Your Doubt Leads To Your Failure.

God instructs us to Fear-Not over 365 times in the Bible. And He would NEVER ask us to do something like fear-not, if it were not possible to fear-not through Him.

If satan can cause you to doubt, he'll lead you right into failure in a New-York-Minute. This is how it happens.

Doubt leads-to Fear: As you encounter trouble, satan will plant a doubt-thought in your thought life. The thought will always be contrary to God's promises. Usually a WHAT-IF. It will seem innocent at first but if you entertain that thought, the thought will advance into full-blown FEAR. Fear is imaging your failure. It's as though you make a movie in your mind about your demise.

Fear leads-to Worry: As you begin to imagine your demise, you'll replay this horror flick over and over. This is Worry. When you worry, satan has you in his web of lies. You'll actually develop faith in satans lies over God's promises. Satan's plot is to point out the facts of your temporary circumstances so that you will miss God's promise to use the trouble to advance you. (Romans 8:28)

Worry leads-to Discouragement: When you worry, you take your focus off Jesus and onto your problems. You'll quickly become discouraged, losing your courage to go after your dreams. The word discouragement contains the word courage. You lose this.

Discouragement leads-to Depression: People who are discouraged lose hope, and when they lose hope, their heart becomes sick. That's depression. (Proverbs 13:12)

Depression leads-to Failure: It's pretty hard to go after your God-planted dreams when you are depressed. Depressed people most-often quit or give up. This is the plot of the enemy, to get you to fail. To destroy you and your dreams.

Doubt > Fear > Worry > Discouragement > Depression > Failure

While satan has the plot to destroy you, God has the plan to prosper you. This is why it is so important to know HisPlan.

Fear Not. Believe Only. Get Ready.

The way to live a life free of doubt is through faith. Faith is believing and receiving God's promises. There are over 6000 promises in the Bible for you.

Faith focuses on God's promises and truths, feelings are focused on the facts of your temporary circumstances.

Circumstances are temporary. God's truth is forever.

The battle is in your mind. It's for control of your mind. And the winner takes all.

God is in it to win it — with you!
