Reset Your Vision Of What's Possible With IFs And WHATs

Nov 16, 2020

IF & WHAT

IF you could wave a magic wand over your business or career, finances, health, relationships, faith, and purpose — WHAT would you change about your life?

Think about that for a few moments. Be very specific.

Let me ask it in a slightly different way.

WHAT & IF

WHAT would you attempt to accomplish in your business or career, finances, health, relationships, faith, and purpose IF you had all of the resources and knew that you couldn't fail?

Now write it down. Don't procrastinate, work with me here, something inside you is about to be unleashed.

Now ponder this promise from God. This scripture gives you permission from God Himself, to dream big. To dream God-sized dreams. To set God-sized plans. Read it carefully!

Ephesians 3:20-21 AMP - Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.

Do you see it? Look at these words:

  1. superabundantly
  2. more than ALL that we dare ask or think
  3. infinitely BEYOND our greatest prayers, hopes or dreams

That's BIG folks.

STOP AND WRITE IT DOWN!

Trust me on this. Trust God on this. Write down your answers to the IF/WHAT and WHAT/IF questions.

In the old testament book of Habakkuk, the prophet Habakkuk was complaining to God. He said "How long, Lord must I call for help, but you do not listen?" Habbakkuk was sharing his problems with God.

I don't know about you, but over the years I've gone to God with some complaining myself. I've experienced many major setbacks and have been desperate for a solution from God.

And sometimes I just get tired of waiting for my dreams to come to pass.

How about you?

Back to the Habakkuk story ... then the Lord answered Habakkuk, "For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told."

The Lord continued ...

Habakkuk 2:2-3 AMP - Then the Lord answered me and said, “Write the vision and engrave it plainly on [clay] tablet so that the one who reads it will run. “For the vision is yet for the appointed [future] time It hurries toward the goal [of fulfillment]; it will not fail. Even though it delays, wait [patiently] for it, because it will certainly come; it will not delay.

RESET YOUR PERCEPTION

See, your perception of what-you-think is possible will actually frame your future. If you think small, you get small. But Ephesians 3:20 gives you permission to dream big. To think big. To perceive big. And to believe big.

As you begin to ponder and answer these IF/WHAT and WHAT/IF questions, you'll begin to unleash new dreams and goals.

Mark 9:23 AMP - Jesus said to him, “[You say to Me,] ‘If You can?’ All things are possible for the one who believes and trusts [in Me]!

Though we are called to soar like eagles, many of God's children are living like chickens in a chicken coup. I ain't no chicken!

Take a look at Isaiah 54.

Isaiah 54:2-4 NIV - “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities. “Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood.

Were you meant to do something greater than what you are presently doing? Then it's time to reset your vision of what's possible.

And then, do what God told Habakkuk to do. Write it down.

Gerald
