Reaching Part Two

This is about the journey to your God-planted destiny.

I love Deuteronomy 8. It describes the journey of a Christ-follower to our Personal Promised Land, AKA our God-planted destiny.

PART ONE - We begin our life journey going after God's promises for the abundant life Jesus spoke about in John 10:10.

But someplace along the journey we run into trouble. Lot's of it. We end up in a wilderness season where God humbles and tests us.

Why? So in the end things will go well for us. It's how we grow up as His children.

Look at how our destiny is described.

- for the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land

- a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills;

- a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey

- a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing

- a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills.

But to get there we'll have to journey through some dry seasons.

Keep your eyes focused on Part Two. Read the whole chapter. It prophesies your future.

Keep walking, Jesus will be with you the entire journey.
