Is it stupid to set big dreams and goals?

Feb 12, 2024

Is it stupid to set big dreams and goals when you have no idea how you will achieve them?

Not at all.

When I set big dreams and goals I rarely know how I will achieve them. As a faith-driven entrepreneur I see a problem that God has called me to solve.

I answer God's call this way.

Yes Lord, I'll build an ark.
Yes Lord, I'll build that wall.

It's what both Noah and Nehemiah did.

When it's comes to setting my dreams, goals and desires, this scripture is always my foundation.

>> Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20)

This scripture, a Biblical promise, always gives me the courage to go after the impossible.

I've been doing it this way for the past 40 years as an entrepreneur. My wife Leslie and I have been putting this into practice for the past 33 years of our marriage.

How do I get the wisdom, understanding and knowledge to pull it off. I go to James 1:5, it's God's promises to give me the wisdom to accomplish whatever I set out to do.

The other thing I do is find advisors I can trust according to Proverbs 15:22 AMP.

Can you see my process? Everything I need is found in the Word of God

So my advice to you is:

- Swing for the fences
- Go to God for wisdom
- Find faith-driven advisors

If you do these three things, watch your life start looking like Psalm 112
