Know-What-To-Do in every decision or circumstance

Nov 01, 2021

How would you like to Know-What-To-Do in every decision or circumstance? You can.

If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him. James 1:5 AMP

The book of James begins with the author James, the brother of Jesus and leader in the Church of Jerusalem writing about going through tests, trials, and temptations.

He says we should actually be happy, with great joy, when we are tested with difficult circumstances. Why? Because the testing of our faith actually matures us. It's how we develop perseverance that never quits.

Whenever we find ourselves in difficult circumstances, it's natural to ask ... "what do I do now?" We've all asked this question of God.

When trouble enters my life I've learned to lean in on these biblical promises:

  • Isaiah 54:17 - The Promise: No weapon formed against me will succeed
  • Psalm 91 - The Promise: God will protect me and deliver me
  • Romans 8:28 - The Promise: God will use all things for my good

Once I know God has my back, I need to know what to do. In James 1:5, God promises to give us the wisdom to navigate through every decision and circumstance successfully.

So then, what is required from us? Only to believe God will do what He promises. We must have faith.

The book of Proverbs speaks to us about the benefits of wisdom. Read Chapter 3. I love verses 5 and 6.

Trust in and rely confidently on the Lord with all your heart And do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know and acknowledge and recognize Him, And He will make your paths straight and smooth [removing obstacles that block your way].
So whatever you are going through, God is not surprised at what has happened. He knows exactly what you need to do, and if you ask in faith, He will show you.

Remember, with God, all things are possible. (Matthew 19:26)

Let's agree together in prayer:

"Father, you know the circumstances, trials, and tests we are facing. According to Philippians 4:6 and 1 Peter 5:7, we cast our cares over to you and receive your peace. We know you promise to protect us and deliver us from all trouble. ( Isaiah 54:17, Psalm 91, Romans 8:28)
You promise in James 1:5 to give us the wisdom to know exactly what we need to do. We thank you in advance for the answer we believe is coming from You. Father, use this test and trial to equip us mightily. We declare all this is the name of Jesus. Amen."

If you are going through something and need someone to agree with you in prayer, I would be honored to serve you in this way. Just message me or email me at [email protected] and I will add you to my list of people I pray for on a daily basis.
