Connecting the dots between VC + Startups + Purpose + Faith

Founders — I found a way to 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝘁𝘀 between

→ VC
→ Startups
→ Purpose
→ Faith

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗜 𝗸𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲.

→ The faith part (faith + purpose)
→ The entrepreneurial part (startups + VC)

𝗜 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀.

→ My faith friends
→ My entrepreneur friends

But then during a network TV interview 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗲 "𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀?"

→ I blurted out, "God helped me"

→ He really did, more times than I can count

→ I was never very religious

→ In fact, I didn't like most religious people

→ But when things went south, I prayed

→ And God started answering my prayers 

It happened so often, there was no denying it

→ I guess you could say that's when I came out of the faith "closet"

→ I began to share my stories with other founders and investors

→ About all times God did miracles in my life

→ Thousands of founders later — 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲

After 16 years of leading a secular venture studio, in 2016 I launched CanaGlobal, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱'𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵-𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼. 

→ We connected the dots between VC, Startups, Purpose and Faith

→ We created an ecosystem to set founders free to prosper

→ And we are doing it — 𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲

I found my purpose, giving back, helping others prosper.
